The Challenge
Chiripal Poly Films Limited, part of the Chiripal Group — a $600M-turnover conglomerate spanning flexible packaging, textiles, denim, petrochemicals, education, and infrastructure — sold its BOPP and BOPET film ranges through a static PDF catalog and email-based inquiry process. Sales engineers carried outdated spec sheets into client meetings, and technical buyers had no fast way to cross-reference film grades against their own application requirements.
The core pain point was discoverability across a dense technical product line. With dozens of film variants (ACT, AFC, AFS, AMT, BMT, and more) spanning BOPP, BOPET, metallised, coated films, and PET resin, each with its own thickness, tensile strength, haze, and barrier properties, a prospective buyer or field rep had no way to filter by application, corona treatment, or appearance without manually flipping through PDF spec sheets or calling a technical contact.
Every stalled inquiry had a real cost: slower quote-to-close cycles, sales engineers repeating the same technical explanations on calls that a self-serve tool could have answered, and a brand experience that undersold a company operating ISO 9001 and BRC AA-certified production lines with 118,000 TPA capacity. For a group with global ambitions, the product experience was lagging behind the manufacturing capability.
Any solution also had to respect the realities of industrial sales: technical datasheets change per grade, regulatory disclaimers (FDA/EC compliance, storage conditions) must ship with every product page, and the tool needed to work as a lightweight companion for both field sales staff and self-directed technical buyers.
Our Solution
We scoped this as a structured product-catalog app, not a generic brochure-ware build. The information architecture mirrors how Chiripal's technical team actually organizes its range: a top-level Products tab branches into BOPP Films, BOPET Films, Metallised Films, Coated Films, and PET Resin, each rendered as a distinct color-coded band so sales reps can navigate by muscle memory during live client conversations.
Inside each category, we built a searchable, filterable list (grade code, one-line description, and a direct "email inquiry" action per row) backed by a filter panel spanning Appearance, Corona Treatment, and Application — letting a buyer narrow BOPP films down to, say, "Antiskid" in seconds rather than scanning a 40-page PDF. Product detail pages reproduce full technical datasheets natively: layer-structure diagrams, mechanical/thermal/optical property tables mapped against ASTM test methods, applications, food-contact compliance notes, and storage/handling disclaimers — all pulled from a structured content model so updates to a single grade's spec don't require an app resubmission.
The visual language leans corporate and functional: a confident blue header system, clean data tables, and generous whitespace so dense technical content stays legible on a phone screen. An About Us section carries the Chiripal Group's corporate narrative (founded 1972, Ahmedabad HQ, multi-sector scale) to reinforce credibility during first-touch sales conversations.
We delivered the catalog as a lightweight content-managed app: the product/spec data lives in a backend CMS so Chiripal's marketing team can add new grades or revise properties without engineering involvement, while the mobile shell stays stable across iOS and Android releases.
The Impact
The Chiripal Poly Films app replaced a static PDF workflow with a searchable, filterable technical catalog that sales teams now use directly in client meetings. Internal rollout feedback pointed to materially faster technical Q&A during sales calls and a marked drop in ad-hoc spec-sheet email requests to the technical team.
Illustrative post-launch metrics: catalog searches replaced an estimated 70% of manual spec-sheet lookups, average time-to-answer on grade-comparison questions dropped from days to minutes, and the direct-inquiry button became the top conversion path for new technical leads. As Chiripal expands its film and resin lines, the same content-managed architecture will extend to new product categories without a rebuild.
