Project Snapshot
The Challenge
Chiropractors, physiotherapists, and personal trainers had no reliable way to document and track postural changes over time. Clinics relied on printed photos, paper charts, and disconnected spreadsheets to compare a client's spinal alignment or gait from one visit to the next. Reviewing progress meant physically pulling old files, which was slow, error-prone, and impossible to do remotely.
This created a real credibility problem: practitioners could not visually prove improvement to clients, which hurt retention and made it harder to justify ongoing treatment plans. Multi-location practices had an even bigger pain point — client records, including sensitive body photos and measurements, were siloed per device with no cloud backup, risking permanent data loss if a phone was lost or replaced.
There was also no structured way to annotate images. Clinicians wanted to draw reference lines, angles, and curves directly onto a posture photo to highlight spinal curvature or shoulder tilt, then save that annotated view alongside the client's weight and clinical notes. Without this, every assessment lived only in the practitioner's memory or a verbal explanation.
Any solution also had to work for non-technical staff in busy clinics, support large client rosters (hundreds of names with height/weight metadata), and sync reliably across devices without requiring a dedicated IT resource — all while keeping health data secure.
Our Solution
iMobdev designed BodyAlignPro around a simple clinical workflow: capture, compare, share. We built a native-feeling iOS and Android experience anchored by a searchable client roster, so front-desk staff and clinicians can pull up any client's height, weight, and history in seconds from a single list view.
The core of the product is a dedicated photo workspace with a date-stamped timeline down the right edge, letting a practitioner flip between a client's "12 Jan," "13 Jan," and "14 Jan" postural photos instantly. On top of that, we built a full annotation toolkit — straight lines, curves, angle markers, freehand drawing, and an 8-color palette — so clinicians can mark spinal deviation or shoulder asymmetry directly on the image and save it as part of the permanent record. Photos, Notes, and Weight live as swipeable tabs on the same screen, keeping all client context in one place.
On the backend, we implemented an authenticated, cloud-synced data layer (visible in-app as a live "Cloud Usage" storage meter) so every client record, photo, and annotation backs up automatically and is retrievable across devices — critical for multi-location practices and staff turnover. A manual "Sync on cloud" action gives clinicians confidence that their work is saved before closing the app.
Visually, we used a confident orange-and-blue brand system, high-contrast list typography for fast scanning of dozens of client names, and a hamburger-driven side menu (Clients, Notifications, Support, Feedback) to keep the primary screens uncluttered. The app also ships with an in-app Tutorial and Support/Feedback channel, reducing onboarding friction for clinics with rotating staff. We delivered the build in focused phases — auth and roster first, then the capture/compare workspace, then cloud sync and sharing — so the client could pilot each stage with real practitioners before moving forward.
The Impact
Since launch, BodyAlignPro has helped clinics reduce time spent on posture documentation by an estimated 40% per session, replacing paper charts and loose photo folders with a searchable digital record. Practitioners report that visual before/after comparisons have made client conversations about treatment progress significantly easier, contributing to a measurable lift in treatment plan renewals. Cloud sync has virtually eliminated data-loss incidents tied to lost or replaced devices across pilot clinics.
Client-side, the annotated photo timeline has become the most-used feature, with practitioners logging multiple sessions per client per month. The roster and search experience now comfortably handles client bases in the hundreds without lag. Looking ahead, iMobdev and the BodyAlignPro team are scoping AI-assisted posture scoring to turn manual annotations into automated alignment metrics.
