The Challenge

SeeWee's founders noticed that most people put off building a resume because word processor templates felt tedious and mobile job-hunters had no quick way to put a CV together between commutes. Before iMobdev came on board, SeeWee existed as a name and a rough sketch of a shirt-and-tie icon — no functioning build, no data model for a resume, and no plan for how a document as structured as a CV would translate to a small screen.

The core problem was structural. A resume has many interdependent sections — contact details, personal information, work history, education, objectives, domain expertise — and cramming all of that into a single long form would guarantee abandonment. There was also no fast-start path: most competing apps demanded a full manual data entry pass before showing any value. And because the target users were mobile-first job seekers, the app needed to manage multiple resume versions for different roles without becoming confusing.

Every week without a usable app meant SeeWee's target users kept defaulting to Word templates and PDF exports — the exact friction the product was meant to remove. Investors evaluating the concept wanted to see completion rates on a real build, not a pitch about how satisfying a finished resume would feel.

Technically, the team wanted the app to feel trustworthy and professional immediately, which meant the visual design had to look closer to a premium productivity tool than a typical starter-app template.

Our Solution

iMobdev's approach was to treat a resume not as one form but as a checklist of small, completable sections, each with its own clear finish line. That reframing is what shaped the entire information architecture.

We built SeeWee as a native iOS app so it could plug directly into the system Facebook and LinkedIn SDKs, letting a user auto-populate a first draft of contact and professional details straight from an existing social profile instead of typing from zero. A local resume data model let users manage multiple named resumes side by side ("Resume 1," "Resume 2," etc.), each independently trackable.

On the UX side, every resume detail screen shows a live completion percentage at the top and a red-or-green status dot next to each section — Contact Information, Personal Information, Professional Information, Educational Qualifications, Career Objective, Domain Knowledge — so a user always knows exactly what's left before their CV is submission-ready. The visual language leaned into a confident, professional red-and-white palette with a tailored shirt-and-tie mark as the app's signature identity.

For the data layer, each resume section persists independently, so a user can complete Personal Information today and Educational Qualifications tomorrow without losing progress, and the "Manage CVs" screen lets them duplicate, reorder, or delete resume versions for different job applications.

Delivery shipped as a single native release: the resume data model and section-based editor first, social import and multi-resume management layered in immediately after, so the app launched with its full core workflow intact rather than a stripped-down MVP.

The Impact

SeeWee launched with a complete, guided resume-building workflow: import a starting profile from Facebook or LinkedIn, work through clearly bounded sections at your own pace, and track a visible completion percentage the entire way. The status-dot system gave users an immediate, honest read on how close their CV was to done, which reduced the half-finished-resume problem that had worried the founding team most.

Multi-resume management meant users could tailor different CVs to different roles without starting over, turning SeeWee into a returning-use tool rather than a one-time generator. iMobdev continues to support SeeWee as it explores PDF export and template styling options for future releases.
