The Challenge

RNShare's founders were practicing nurses who noticed the same problem shift after shift: registered nurses had no dedicated place to trade clinical knowledge, coordinate coverage, or simply feel less alone in a high-burnout profession. Before iMobdev, the closest thing available was scattered Facebook groups with no structure, no credibility signals, and no way to separate a real clinical question from noise.

The pain points were specific to the profession. There was no feed built around clinical content — cases, techniques, continuing-education resources — that felt safe and relevant to share at 3am on a night shift. There was no lightweight way to organize in-person meetups like trauma conferences and chapter events, and no in-app path to discover accredited continuing-education content without leaving the platform to search elsewhere.

Every month without a real community platform meant nurses stayed siloed inside their own units, unable to tap the collective experience of peers across hospitals and states. For a workforce already stretched thin, that isolation has a real cost: slower peer learning, weaker professional networks, and nurses who burn out without ever finding the support system that should have existed.

Technically, RNShare also needed to feel unmistakably professional rather than like a generic consumer social app, while still being simple enough to use one-handed between patients.

Our Solution

iMobdev built RNShare as a purpose-built professional network rather than a general social app, structuring the entire experience around the things nurses actually needed: post, group, archive, meetings, and education, all reachable from one slide-out menu anchored to the user's own profile.

On the architecture side, we built a native iOS client backed by a scalable social graph API, with a real-time feed engine handling likes, comments, and shares on every post, and a push-notification layer keeping nurses looped into fast-moving threads without needing to keep the app open. Post, comment, and profile data are structured around verified professional identities rather than anonymous handles, reinforcing trust in a field where credibility matters.

On the UX side, we designed a dark, low-glare interface suited to night-shift use, with a persistent side-navigation drawer so switching between the feed, meetings, and education never takes more than one tap. Engagement metrics — comments, likes, favorites — are surfaced directly on every post and profile so nurses can quickly gauge which discussions are worth their time.

For integrations, the Meetings module syncs conference and chapter-event listings with location and RSVP data, and the Education module connects to an in-app content marketplace where accredited courses and reference tools can be purchased without leaving RNShare. Delivery was phased: the core social feed and profile shipped first, followed by Meetings, with the Education marketplace layered in last once the core community had real engagement data to guide which content categories to prioritize.

The Impact

RNShare gave nurses a professional home base they didn't have before — a single app to post clinical questions, discover peer-reviewed answers, find upcoming conferences, and browse continuing-education content, all under their own verified professional identity. Engagement metrics built into every post gave the RNShare team early, concrete signal on which content categories nurses valued most.

The Meetings and Education modules also opened a new, non-intrusive revenue channel through in-app course sales, without turning the core feed into an advertising space. iMobdev continues to work with RNShare to expand its education marketplace and deepen the meetings/events experience.
