The Challenge

Before partnering with iMobdev, the foundation's public-facing presence was split across a static website, printed publications, and in-person service counters. Citizens and partner organizations had no single place to check the foundation's programs, read leadership statements, or track ongoing initiatives, which meant staff fielded a steady stream of repetitive phone calls and walk-in visits for information that should have been self-serve.

The institution's structure is complex by nature: a board of trustees, multiple regional centers, school partnerships, employee directories, and a constant stream of news, galleries, publications, and award announcements. Managing all of this through disconnected tools made it difficult to keep information current, and outdated content on any single channel quietly eroded public trust in an organization whose credibility depends on transparency.

There was also a growing expectation, especially among younger citizens and mobile-first users, for bilingual, on-the-go access to government-affiliated services. Without a dedicated app, the foundation risked appearing out of step with the digital habits of the very families and women's programs it was created to serve, undermining engagement at exactly the audience segment most active on mobile.

Compounding this, any new platform had to respect strict institutional branding, Arabic-first bilingual requirements, and formal approval workflows typical of a government-affiliated entity, meaning the technical build had to be paired with careful content governance from day one.

Our Solution

iMobdev approached this as an information-architecture problem first and a mobile app second. We mapped the foundation's full organizational structure — About, Media Center, Programs & Services, Employees, FDF Centers, E-Services, and Contact — into a single hub-and-spoke navigation model, visualized as the honeycomb-style home screen that lets users jump directly into any department without hunting through menus.

On the technical side, we built a native-feeling hybrid app backed by a content management layer so foundation staff could publish news, gallery albums, publications, and award listings without engineering involvement. A secure login and registration flow was layered on top of the public browsing experience, giving registered members and partner organizations access to additional services while keeping general information open to all visitors.

Visual design leaned directly into the institution's identity: a warm gold-and-cream palette with Islamic geometric patterning framed every screen, paired with a deep navy header for wayfinding consistency. The full experience was built bilingual (English/Arabic) with a single-tap language switch on the home screen, and every list-based section — news, gallery-by-month, publications, awards — followed the same card-and-timeline patterns so the app felt cohesive despite covering a dozen distinct content types.

We structured delivery in phases: core navigation and About/leadership content first, followed by Media Center (news, gallery, image albums, publications, awards) and Programs & Services, with Contact Us and the E-Services layer closing out the build. This let the foundation's communications team start publishing real content and gathering internal feedback well before the final release, reducing rework and keeping the launch on schedule.

The Impact

The relaunched app consolidated more than a dozen previously scattered information channels into one bilingual mobile experience, cutting routine information-request calls to the foundation's front office by an estimated 40% in the months following launch. Internal publishing time for news and gallery updates dropped from days to minutes, and session length on mobile grew as visitors browsed multiple sections — About, Media Center, Programs — in a single visit rather than bouncing off a single static page.

Staff reported significantly less manual back-and-forth when preparing public updates, freeing communications resources for outreach rather than upkeep. Looking ahead, the platform's modular content structure positions the foundation to extend E-Services into fuller self-service transactions as citizen demand grows.
