Senior UI/UX Designer

About This Role

We're looking for a designer who cares as much about how it works as how it looks. You'll lead design for 2-3 client products simultaneously, running discovery workshops, designing full user flows, and delivering Figma files that engineers can build from without a 30-minute explanation. Your portfolio has real products with measurable outcomes — not just beautiful concepts that never shipped.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product design: user research, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and interactive prototypes
• Run discovery workshops with clients to extract requirements, align on user goals, and identify design opportunities
• Design for mobile-first across iOS, Android, and responsive web — understanding platform-specific conventions
• Build and maintain scalable Figma component libraries with auto-layout, variants, and documented tokens
• Conduct usability testing and synthesize findings into actionable design improvements
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers — spec every interaction state, edge case, and breakpoint
• Present design decisions with clear rationale, backed by user insights or heuristics
• Mentor mid-level and junior designers through design reviews and pair design sessions

Requirements

• 4+ years of UI/UX design for digital products — with a portfolio of shipped apps or platforms
• Mastery of Figma: auto-layout, components, variables, prototyping, and dev handoff
• Strong visual design fundamentals: typography, color theory, hierarchy, and grid systems
• Understanding of iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design
• Ability to translate user research into design decisions — not just aesthetic preferences
• Experience working in agile teams with engineers — understanding what's feasible, not just desirable
• Clear presentation skills: you can defend a design decision in a client meeting without getting defensive

Nice to Have

Bonus points — not required

• Experience with motion design tools (Principle, ProtoPie, or Lottie animations)
• Familiarity with front-end basics (HTML, CSS) to improve dev handoff quality
• Background in design systems work — building and maintaining a shared component library
• Experience designing AI-powered products and visualizing complex data
