Senior React Native Developer

About This Role

We're looking for a Senior React Native Developer who has shipped consumer-grade mobile apps to hundreds of thousands of users. You'll work on our most complex client products — from AI-powered fintech apps to on-demand marketplaces — and mentor a team of 3-5 engineers. You care deeply about performance, write code you're proud to maintain, and know when to push back on a bad brief.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and implementation of complex React Native features across iOS and Android
• Architect state management solutions using Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or React Query based on project needs
• Set up and enforce performance profiling processes (Flipper, React Native Perf Monitor)
• Lead code reviews and drive adoption of best practices across the mobile team
• Collaborate with product designers to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, accessible components
• Integrate third-party SDKs (Stripe, Firebase, Mixpanel, push notification providers) reliably
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers — pair programming, PR reviews, knowledge sharing
• Participate in client technical discovery calls to define approach and estimate work

Requirements

• 4+ years of React Native development with multiple shipped apps on the App Store and Google Play
• Deep expertise in React Native internals, the bridge, JSI, and the new architecture
• Strong TypeScript skills — you write types that prevent bugs, not just satisfy the compiler
• Solid understanding of native iOS (Swift/Obj-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) for bridging custom modules
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile (Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions)
• Proven ability to debug performance issues — JavaScript thread, UI thread, and render cycle
• Clear written and verbal communication for async collaboration with distributed teams

• Experience with Expo and EAS Build/Submit for managed workflow projects
• Contributions to open-source React Native libraries
• Experience building apps with AI/ML features (on-device inference, LLM API integrations)
• Background in computer science with familiarity in algorithms and data structures
